Our mission at the FFCPA is Education by Entertainment.

We are pleased to report that 2 French associations are helping us promote these movies to the Parents and their children based in the Peninsula. We thank them from the bottom of our heart as it is important for us to reachout to new generations. They are:

EFBA

EFBA is a mostly volunteer-based nonprofit offering high quality yet affordable French after school programs in local public schools. We hire credentialed French teachers to teach children, age 5 -18, both native-speakersand from Francophile families, and prepare them to earning diplomas granted by the French Government and accepted in French-speaking universities.Through a global yet flexible curriculum, K -12 children – depending on the school, will get a fantastic exposure to French. It gives an educational, affordable, yet fun environment for your children to learn French. Click on the Logo for the website.

AATF

American Association of Teachers of French Northern California Chapter

The American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) was founded in 1927 and is the largest national association of French teachers in the world with nearly 10,000 members. Our headquarters are located at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, having moved there in August 1997 from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. A full-time Executive Director, Dr. Jayne Abrate, and a staff of two handle the needs of the membership under the guidance of an elected Executive Council consisting of 18 or 19 members: a President, President-Elect or Past-President, three Vice-Presidents, nine Regional Representatives, as well as appointed representatives of various activities. We have 74 chapters located across the U.S.

Our members are French teachers at all levels and include approximately 3/4 secondary teachers and 1/4 post-secondary. We also have a growing number of French teachers in immersion settings and in the elementary grades. Our President Ann Sunderland is a former high school teacher and specialist in la Francophonie.

The AATF is a founding member of the Joint National Committee for Languages/National Council on Languages and International Studies.
